The update of the first Strategy Plan is under way. A call for new or updated White Papers was issued in November 2023 with a deadline for submission of July 26, 2024.
The submitted contributions were presented at the “III LASF4RI for HECAP Symposium: Update of the Strategic Plan“, held at ICTP-SAIFR in São Paulo in August 26-29, 2024, with the participation of the Preparatory Group, High Level Strategy Group, Funding Agencies and representatives of similar efforts around the globe.

In December 2024, a new Preparatory Group was formed to conduct the writing of the updated Physics Briefing Book (PBB),
and seven working groups were established: Astronomy, Astrophysics and Astroparticle Physics; Cosmology;
Dark Matter; Neutrinos; Electroweak & Strong Interactions, Higgs Physics, CP & Flavour Physics and BSM;
Instrumentation and Computing; Advanced Training and Capacity Building.
The writing of the PBB started in May 2025 and after a long and laborious process it has finally come to fruition with a first version finished in December 2025.
We want to thank all the persons involved in this process, which will continue with the recommendations from the High Level Strategy Group in early 2026.
